Quick question, what are the reasons for preventing us from linking stealing? I don't really see any IC reasons that we couldn't draw upon that knowledge. Just because we can't harm something directly doesn't mean we have to be angels.

You have a point Purehand. I wouldn't say there is any correlation between teaching and linking.

Not even thieves can teach stealing in the open. Not even thieves could see a link between empaths. Only the linker and the linkee can see said stealing link.

Has it always been this way? Or was not-teaching-stealing put in at the same time linking was?

Well I stand by my claim of it being related to Teaching. Now that stealing and multi are teachable, they are both linkable.

As the link between you and Xxxxxx deepens, you feel somewhat wiser in stealing.

As the link between you and Xxxxxx deepens, you feel somewhat wiser in multiple engaged opponent.

I'm a little surprised thrown didn't work though, not that it would be useful anyway.

Wait, did I get the syntax wrong or something? It's supposed to be the case that TEACH <person> WEAPON THROWN teaches the thrown skill (in this case it would have been Light Thrown), but LINK <person> WEAPON THROWN linked the melee skill (in this case it was Light Edged). I would have expected the link to be in the Light Thrown skill.

My mistake, I was unaware of that addition.

You know how teaching works, right? Linking works the same way, except that you replace Teaching with Empathy and use a different set of verbs to start things up.
