So with the discussion of a shocked/scarred empath title, could we get a title for those empaths with above average combat skill and void of shock scar? This was initially Mingold's idea, we began discussing this and I thought up a few ideas that would be interesting.
The title ideas:
Showing prowess in combat without error:
Elite Combat Empath
Combat Elitest
Connection to Alchemy as well as being defined as impervious to outside interference or influence:
Hermetic
Impervious
Along a comical line, much like the Bully title:
Big Shot Empath
Requirements:
Along the same lines as the Fallen Empath title:
Shockless
At least 300 empathy
At least 300 in total armor
At least 300 in total weapons (Not including MO/Parry)
At least 100 highest weapon
At least 100 multi
And for the uber combat empaths, a new title above and beyond Kaith Partani, but keeping with our empathic nature and history (Think: Nissa)
War Consultant
At least 700 in Empathy
At least 350 in Shield Usage
At least 350 in Parry Ability
At least 350 in Highest Armor (Not shield)
At least 420 in Evasion
At least 300 in Multiple Engaged Opponent
Thoughts, ideas, constructive criticism welcome. Would love to have the Combat Empath titles flushed out and extended, adding variety and duration throughout the life of a combat empath.

I really like the idea of having dual combat titles for the scarred and unscarred. Something along the lines of:
Empathic Combatant, and for those of you who play nice... Pristine Empathic Combatant or something.
Fallen Empath then should be if you're currently in shock, like I tend to find myself more often than not.
I really am a bad empath. But i did show that sprite who's the boss.

Only thing I don't like about the "pristine" is it's very paladin-y.

Yeah, those other titles I posted besides War Consultant were shockless ideas as well:
Elite Combat Empath
Combat Elitest
Hermetic
Impervious
Big Shot Empath

Elite generally implies skill, so it would make more sense to me if that was open to any empaths that were good enough, scar having or not. Elitist seems better for if the empath wanted to show off their "i've never made a mistake" status. Pristine makes since as well. As far as seeming to paladiny, the whole point seems to be to say, "I've follow the rules," being a little Paladin like make sense.

Frankly, the idea of having combat titles require having never been shocked doesn't sit well with me. I say this only because there have been so many cases of illegitimate shock which cannot be undone. Maybe once there's a way to remove shock scars I'd be on board, but as of right now I don't like it. The idea of having different versions of titles based on one's shock state with the same skill requirements is interesting, though.
Also, I can't resist the urge to comment on the 700 Empathy that was suggested to go along with ~300-400ish combat skills...700's way high for that. The 500 required for Kaith Partani is astronomically high for the combat requirements associated with it (it's more than twice the highest defensive requirement...), and I get the feeling the same would be true in this case. While backtraining combat skills after having already gained a boatload of Empathy is certainly a legitimate course of action, such titles should be catered toward those of us who have trained combat skills all along. I'd put that 700 at more like 550 or something.
Thanks,

The idea of 100th circle empathy req was tossed around, but I just thought since Kaith Partani was so close to 100th circle (90th circle empathy requirement), what was the point? Unless to say the empath has moved away from training empathy and focused strictly on combat, which would be feasible. I just see this title as the Combat Empath's equivalent of the barbarian title War Monger, something that not everyone will get to, and when you make it, you've definitely earned it.
And War Consultant is not a shock-based title. It's pure skill level.
In regards to other titles possibly combat related between Battle Empath and Kaith Partani, off the top of my head:
Battle Counsel
Conflict Specialist
Reconciler
Peace Monger
Lead Battle Empath
Front Line Healer
Triage Strategist (IG idea of discussing best locations for traige locales, etc.)
Triage Specialist
Combat Mitigater
Battlefront Manipulator (as in, combat skill plus manipulate ability)
Empathic Crusader
And for humor sake:
Antipath
So yeah, I was on a roll. Some of them work, some of them don't. But I left them all in.

Fair enough, if you're thinking in terms of a combat title for one who's got 700 Empathy, I'd say go higher than 300-400ish with the combat requirements then. Maybe 500-600ish or something.
Thanks,

- I think Fallen Empath should be available to any empath who has shock or a shock scar. No other req.
- I love War Consultant. Maybe have that a general title based on lores and combat though, mainly scholarship?
- General Practicioner - 200 empathy, 125 first aid
- Anesthesiologist - Must know Nissa's Binding
- Triage Commander - same reqs as Kaith Partani + 400 first aid.
- Shadowmender - 300 hiding, 200 stalking, 300 first aid. I'm being a hypocrite here considering my opinion of WM release, but we're survival secondary so we should get at least one in my opinion.
- Life Sculpter - Must have capped all physical shifts (ie not including year shift)
- Medical Theorist - 300 scholarship, 200 foraging, 400 empathy
- Life Seeker - 300 Empathy, 200 Power Perc
I still want to be Empath Emeritus. At this point you should give Raud Renegade Empath too.

Booooo!
Main reason I thought it was a nice higher combat skill related title for an empath was the fact that we have such a high scholarship requirement, we are seen as a scholarly-ish guild, and with those combats, you are adept to war. Combine them all and gain War Consultant...as empath only. If not, then Empathic Warlord will be a fine empath only substitution.

Seems to me a barbarian with 400 scholarship (or whatever it is) should have the right to access the 'War Consultant' or 'War/Battle Counsel' etc too. I view moon mages and traders as more scholarly. Maybe that's just because they are actually able to train the skill.
I love
>Reconciler
>Front Line Healer
>Empathic Crusader (this should at least be in line with the paladin title if they would let us share it - 5 skills required from 350 to 640)

Reexa and I will probably be looking at titles some time in the next month or so. I just finished working about 180 hours in the past 4 weeks with about 2 days off in the middle, so I'm getting back into the groove.

Excuse me? You got two days off? I want to know who allowed that. Don't get used to it mister, that won't be happening in the future.

No, more like 10-14 hours a day for three days, then 4-6 hours for the remaining four.
Oh, and don't forget the 50-mile commute each way, either...
