Hi.
Got a little Empath friend who is getting sort of sick of poor tips and jerks in Crossing, so I thought I'd ask on the boards.
She is circle 11. Can heal all the internals and externals and flush poison but cannot cure disease. I want to find her an area that will offer a steady stream of Empathy and reasonable tips without all the jerks. Ratha, Therengia, or Shard seem the most reasonable, as P5 is still a little too deserted given her hours.
Thoughts?

You are Apis, a legendary Cleric in your own head.
You are Ragesong. What sort of Kaldar is a Bard, anyways, doofus?
You are also Pellazan (WM), Essatariol (Ranger) and running out of sig space.

There are jerks and poor tippers everywhere. Ratha's actually pretty bad about it. I recommend against going there.
Shard's not too bad. Langenfirth is also decent in my experience, and Rossman's always needs Empaths.

>>Haven is always has decent people. Ratha also I think would be good if she/he can get to the green. There are always lots of people there.
Actually, now that you mention it, everyone always is looking for an Empath in Haven, aren't they?
>>There are jerks and poor tippers everywhere. Ratha's actually pretty bad about it. I recommend against going there.
I hate to say it but I agree. Ratha's as bad as Crossing and much more clique-centric.

Haven is always looking for empaths because in my experience empaths always get stolen from In Haven.
I've always loved Langenfirth but recently it seems to be full of disagreeable types (although there a a few higher level Empaths up there who'd look after you)
I'd say give Ratha a go. I've always enjoyed the interactions I've had with people on the islands..
Actually why not travel for a few months and visit P2 - P5 and decie for yourself....

The green for healing would be difficult for a leedle empath since most folks you'll get up there will be from hatchlings and dobeks which means dealing with a lot of nasty wounds and poison. I say go up to Haven.

Doryaa hasn't healed in Shard in a long time. But the people of Ilithi do their best to take care of empaths. Or alternately, there is Langenfirth.

Not an empath, but I would think one would do well in Shard. Frequently there are none availible, and folks coming out of A'danf tend to have lots of large, availible gems. Other than that I would suggest Lang- alternate between outside of small peccs, and outside of blood wolves(the picnic table). Lang usually seems very empath friendly.

They are very friendly, if you stick to the good little empath routine. Start demanding payment like you're entitled to it and they'll politely look elsewhere or go on campaign to drive you away. Caaramon saved Ilithi for me, but otherwise they're basically the same as Lang (albeit far more agoraphobic/crowd-hating).
And the islands? Good luck getting better tips from them. Although Ratha might be a bit different what the two boatloads of novices and younglings going "Wheee!" back and forth, the more difficult the island is in general the more they rely on service-bartering. They're friendly enough, but they're even more "Oh, you're one of THOSE empaths..." if you try to ask for more money/gems than they think you should have over future free rides through moongates and stuff.
J'Lo, no that other one

As an Ilithi citizen I may be biased but Shard is great. The folks there take very good care of the Empaths. Ratha is "clique-y". I haven't been stolen from in quite some time in Haven, sorry to hear it still happens, otherwise that's a decent place to go. I also like Langenfirth, folks are generally nice.

Are you kidding? I end up going to Srela all the time to have an empath that will LET me pay them.
