I'd work strength to kill your )base burden(.

You've got plenty of time, and circles, to worry about the rest later.

I always like stamina, and you're gonna need charisma eventually.

If you're worried about your burden, I'd echo Meli's sentiment -- Stamina.

While stamina doesn't factor in as heavily as strength does in the burden department, I've found that it's much more useful to an Empath in the long run that strength. I'm a Tog, and strength is by far my lowest attribute.

I'd say get discipline, stamina, intel and wis up to 30 (bring disc and stamina to 20 first thing). Then you have a solid base for learning, casting spells and healing effectively. Once you're there you can push those further or dive into the other stats if there are things other than healing that you'd rather pursue.

I had 12 strength too for as long as I can remember, and just recently trained it a tiny bit. Stamina took care of all of my burden problems.

Strength and stamina play an equal roll in burden reduction. For more info see:

I had 2 cups of coffee in me already, so it's not a fair comparison. ;)

Charisma is a "clump" stat to me. It's given almost no usefully-workable benefit that I can tell all the way up to 30th, but I'm afraid that if I were to neglect it I'd have to slog through many circles to recoup my loss.

Woot! I was right about something. I like it less for the encumbrance and more for the "I can handle wounds, yay!"

Charisma does work into the "strength" of your GS. I did notice a difference when I boosted it 6 points with an avenger. No change in circle, just stat training.
