Empaths should be able to RP their own pain and misery from transferring wounds.
We don't need mechanics doing it for us.

Precisely! Just like I don't use the demeanor system because it attributes actions to me which I did not make the decision to perform, I am annoyed that the system declares I am crying out in pain. That's not RP, it's being a puppet.

With good skill, how about this message "Amorisse braces herself, taking on the wound with bravery"..
Ya see, hunters, when they hit a critter hard get some cool messages. How about some for empaths?
;)
In Response To:
<<Or make that 'sissy' wailing skill based.>>
Nah...Discipline based.

Heh, I like this.
Those that want to play Empaths who faint at the sight of blood <g> can keep their Discipline low - every bad wound makes em turn pale and pass out. Those who follow that Marquis de Sade thang we discussed a while back can train their Discipline very high (which sounds appropriate, no?) - they can get that odd gleam in their eye while taking particularly nasty wounds. The rest of us can grimace but steel ourselves.
