Does anyone know whether Perseverance of Peri'el is an ablative barrier? I'm assuming not, given that the ritual nature of the spell would limit its use in PvE if it wore off too quickly.
>>What cannot be avoided, must be endured. This spell imbues the caster with inner reserves of fortitude and vitality, allowing him prevent the pain and suffering that accompany insults to the body in combat. The pattern's name alludes to the Goddess Peri'el's persistence during her mythical battle against the fearsome World Dragon -- despite grievous injuries, the Goddess persevered, and in the end it was her actions which subdued that terrible beast.

Yep, it is. It has the same sort of supreme/deep-seated/etc. messaging in the PERCEIVE as Tranquility to indicate how much capacity it has remaining. I find that it usually lasts just a little bit less than an entire combat session for me against opponents that pose a pretty decent challenge.

One last question: how long is "an entire combat session"?

<<how long is "an entire combat session"?>>
Hm, long enough for me to lock all the skills I'm trying to, I suppose. Usually that takes somewhere in the vicinity of about 35-45 minutes I think, but I haven't really ever timed it. Not surprisingly, how long it holds up really depends on how much/hard I'm getting hit...sometimes it lasts longer than others. One time I forgot to put up AGS and it wore down pretty quick, heh.
That's casting it at 500 with 130% potency by the way, so there's still some room before I'm capping it.
