When did Tiv get a last name? Is this significant?
Tiv Guildermann according to epedia.

Customizable, sharable player character surnames were launched in 2008. I'd guess that rolling an actual character as a NPC (post 2008) involves surnames whereas a stationary NPC like a Guild leader does not.
Forum search shows his GMNPC character wore that surname in 2010. Older mentions of Tiv and books that reference him do not mention a surname that I could find before 2010.

Tiv has always had that last name.
Edit to add: Like Skaen sort of mentioned sometimes when you see a stationary Guildleader you won't always see a last name, it depends on how they were set up. But, when Tiv was set up to be a "walking around" character in 2002, he was set up with this last name.
