Here is the record of yesterday's Vision's Meeting!

[18:04] Miskton says, "Thank you all for coming. As always, I appreciate people taking the time to join us here."
[18:05] Miskton says, "The topics for this meeting will be fairly similar to those discussed at the recent meeting up in Therenborough. Not much seems to have changed since then, and not everyone may have been able to attend that one."
[18:06] Miskton says, "In short, of late we have one new vision, and several others which have been appearing for some time, but have lately changed in certain elements."
[18:07] Miskton says, "Additionally, the constellation of the Wolf continues to be engulfed by that mysterious, oddly colored cloud. Slowly, though, so it takes some time before changes become visible."
[18:08] Miskton says, "I still have not heard that anyone has been able to decipher any meaning that this might have as an omen, but it certainly looks unsettling."
[18:08] Miskton says, "As for the visions..."
[18:09] Miskton says, "The first concerns Pelag ai Aldam."
[18:09] Miskton says, "A figure suddenly appeared before me, that of a skinny Human with pale skin and short red hair. His hands were awash with blood that slowly pooled around his feet as he stood motionless. His eyes slowly focused on me and a slight sneer crept onto his face."
[18:09] Miskton says, "Originally in this vision, he would simply sneer silently at the seer."
[18:09] Miskton says, "Now, however, he speaks."
[18:10] Miskton says, "So easy. So foolish. One has already fallen and we ve barely begun. Go ahead, look towards your prophecies. This only ends one way."
[18:11] Miskton says, "I had originally thought that by one having already fallen he was referring to Guildleader Tiv, but now that he has returned, I think perhaps he was referring to the guildhall."
[18:12] Skaen says, "Assuming that Tiv is able to recover."
[18:12] Skaen says, "The glimpse he showed me was horrifying."
[18:12] Miskton says, "From what I've heard, he seems to be in better shape than I might have feared. Though it seems like it was a close thing."
[18:13] Miskton asks Skaen, "What was that?"
[18:13] Skaen says, "He returned to this plane with full knowledge of the Web of Fate."
[18:13] Skaen says, "Everything that has happened. Is happening and will happen."
[18:14] Skaen says, "In my opinion he was holding onto sanity by a thread."
[18:15] Miskton says, "Well, I hope some time resting will help him to recover."
[18:16] Atazai says, "If he's supposed to recover."
[18:16] Skaen says, "I think it will take more than time, and I hope that our visions represent the halls versus the man."
[18:16] Skaen says, "A guildhall can be rebuilt much more easily than a mage of Tiv's qualities."
[18:17] Miskton says, "Unfortunately, that sort of destruction leads into the next vision which has changed."
[18:17] Miskton says, "Originally, this vision was seen starting out with six towers. Now, however, only five appear."
[18:17] Miskton says, "Five towers of light sprang into being about me. They were aglow with chilly starlight, solid and seemingly eternal. Yet as I watched, fissures, dark as the void, spiderwebbed through each of them, causing one to explode in a shower of searing fragments."
[18:18] Miskton says, "The remainder resisted. For a time. Until the top of another tower imploded, leaving naught but a ragged stump behind."
[18:18] Miskton says, "The remaining three continued to struggle, though the fissures were now a vast network of absolute darkness, until, they too, could stand no more and crumbled into motes of dying light."
[18:18] Miskton says, "I had originally thought that the exploding tower represented the Crystal Hand Fortress, but now I'm no longer so certain, as that seems to be something still in the future. While the removal of the fortress would account for there now only being five towers in the vision."
[18:19] Atazai asks, "Fortress as guildhall, sect hall, both?"
[18:19] Linett asks, "Instead of actual buildings, could it reference the Guild Leaders themselves?"
[18:20] Miskton says, "Guildhall, and yes, it's possible the towers could actually represent the guild leaders."
[18:20] Skaen says to Linett, "Unfortunately until the next calamity we can only speculate."
[18:21] Linett says to Skaen, "Perhaps there won't be any more calamities."
[18:21] Skaen says, "That seems extremely unlikely given our visions."
[18:22] Miskton says, "There were a number of other ominous visions in this vein, but most of them fell away with the defeat of the Akul'tiz and the apparent upsetting of Pelag ai Aldam's plans. This one remained, though."
[18:22] Skaen says, "Past visions suggest that the next targets could be Cherulisa, Kssarh and Lomtaun, or their halls."
[18:23] You say, "Here, too. There was a vision of the birds going poof."
[18:24] Atazai says, "Lom has more policing now, maybe that will help."
[18:24] Lasciel says, "Let's get some of those Y'shai guards."
[18:25] Miskton says, "For most of those, my theory is that Pelag was interfering with our prophetic link in some manner... but I suppose it's also possible that events were changed such that those futures were cut off."
[18:25] Atazai says, "That's kind of funny, cause he says we're interfering with stuff too."
[18:26] Miskton says to Atazai, "He would say that, yes. I suppose he can't entirely be blamed for what he is, but that doesn't help us much, unfortunately."
[18:27] Atazai says, "Makes him a little predictable? Not that it helps."
[18:27] Atazai says, "Of course Fate is always predicable."
[18:28] Skaen says, "It's troubling that our visions suggest 'we'."
[18:28] Atazai says, "That doesn't have to mean 'we' to us."
[18:28] Atazai says, "But it could."
[18:29] Miskton says, "There's a few possible meanings of it, yes."
[18:29] Skaen says, "Pelag ai Aldam has not historically been known to act with allies."
[18:29] Atazai says, "Maybe it creates them. Maybe it has, uh, kids? Maybe it feels it itself is many parts of the Web."
[18:29] Lasciel says, "Shadow creatures."
[18:30] Lasciel says, "Void things."
[18:30] Miskton says, "I suppose the most optimistic interpretation would be that by 'we', he means 'you and I'."
[18:31] Miskton says, "There's another vision that has changed, and may perhaps be related to the new vision that has started showing up."
[18:31] Atazai says, "I haven't seen or heard him more than usual lately."
[18:32] Miskton says, "Silvery threads stretched delicately in every direction forming an impossibly complex web. A thin haze of smoke overlay the vision as several nodes slowly smoldered."
[18:32] Miskton says, "Originally, only a single thread was smoking slightly."
[18:32] Renucci says, "Some of the vision Changes are due to Tiv find his way out of the Grey."
[18:32] Skaen says, "This vision upsets me the most."
[18:32] Atazai asks, "Did he say it was the Grey?"
[18:33] Renucci says, "That's what he alluded to."
[18:33] Skaen says, "He was not very coherent."
[18:33] Renucci says, "He was soo upset and confused."
[18:34] Atazai asks, "Something like, outside the Astral. And something about Lights and shadows?"
[18:34] Atazai says, "But the Web."
[18:34] Atazai asks, "So directly in tune, what? The one original was Tiv, and now others smolder?"
[18:35] Atazai says, "Something altering their weave."
[18:35] You say, "I think he just needed some time to adjust to there being a now, again. I am sure he is changed, but I think he'll be alright."
[18:35] Miskton says, "Assuming the web in the vision is the Web of Fate, I think one of the more common interpretations for what could damage it is teleological sorcery."
[18:36] Renucci says, "I wish i had more time."
[18:36] Skaen says, "If Tiv represents a node then we have a larger problem on our hands."
[18:37] Miskton says, "Just what it means for nodes to actually be damaged is subject for a great deal of discussion. None of the outcomes are likely good, though."
[18:37] Skaen says, "One would represent incalculable damage to fate."
[18:37] Skaen says, "Much less four. or more."
[18:38] Miskton says, "My leaning in this case, though, is that whatever Pelag is up to, this isn't a result of it."
[18:38] Atazai says, "Assuming Fate can't be fated to be damaged."
[18:38] Skaen says, "It's my experience that nothing is inviolate."
[18:39] Miskton says, "Unless his hatred has grown to a point where he's willing to harm himself to get at us."
[18:39] You ask Atazai, "Unless it already was?"
[18:39] Miskton says, "I think it perhaps more likely, though, taking into account the new vision, that the damage to fate may represent someone else trying to strike back at Pelag, using unconscionable methods."
[18:39] Atazai asks, "If it's Sorcery, who's doing it?"
[18:39] Atazai asks, "Normal mages? Children?"
[18:40] Skaen says, "Both."
[18:40] Miskton says, "The Children in particular, I think..."
[18:40] Miskton says, "An elderly Elf, angular of face with silver-flecked eyes, gazed out over a forest landscape. His vision seemed locked on a distant mountain peak. "I will need to answer this, you know. They won't. They lack the resolve."
[18:40] Miskton says, "A quiet voice behind me replied, "They'll blame us. They've never understood, even the few who try."
[18:40] Miskton says, ""Let them. It changes nothing."
[18:41] Skaen says, "But teleologic sorcery aside, our own manipulation of the web of fate is enough to infuriate Pelag ai Aldam."
[18:41] Atazai asks, "Before we thought, Karosti?"
[18:41] Miskton says, "I've not seen the man myself, but I've been told that elf resembles Karosti."
[18:42] Atazai says, "At this my first thoughts were of a shake up and a shake down."
[18:42] Atazai says, "If I assume he and the Servant are not enemies."
[18:42] Atazai asks, "But if they are enemies, then maybe the Elf will sacrifice others to answer?"
[18:43] Skaen says, "If Karosti is the elf in our visions you can bet on sacrifices and many."
[18:43] Miskton says, "If Karosti wants to strike at Pelag, I think he'll do whatever he thinks is necessary."
[18:43] Miskton says, "And burning the web of fate is certainly something that the rest of us would not have the 'resolve' to do."
[18:43] Atazai asks, "Do we know what actually blew up the Crystal guildhall?"
[18:43] Skaen says, "The Children are highly skilled and arrogant but to strike directly at Pelag boggles the mind."
[18:44] You say to Atazai, "Most assume Dergati, as part of her ploy to blot out the sun."
[18:44] Miskton says, "Whatever set off the volcanoes. Given what all else was going on, some plan of Dergati's."
[18:44] Dreamheart says, "It might have been collateral damage."
[18:44] Dreamheart says, "By Her logic."
[18:45] Miskton says, "It's possible. Visions at the time indicated some sort of coordinated attack on the moon mage guild, though."
[18:45] Skaen says, "I wonder if Dergati was allied with that made the fortress a target. Moon mage affairs and those of the clergy are not often close companions."
[18:45] Skaen says, "Or whom, rather."
[18:46] Miskton says, "I don't have any particular evidence for it, but the idea has crossed my mind that Dergati and Pelag somehow struck a deal. I'm not sure how such a thing would be arranged, though."
[18:46] Skaen says, "Or an intermediary brokered that deal."
[18:47] Atazai says, "Well so."
[18:47] Atazai says, "The thing in Ker'Leor."
[18:47] Atazai says, "I never visited it myself."
[18:48] Atazai says, "Would have to be part of a plan if there is one."
[18:48] Atazai says, "Maybe she and the Pelag had a baby."
[18:48] Skaen says, "Nor I, I have no wish to feed a nebulous and possibly evil entity my soul energy."
[18:49] Miskton says, "I think the Akul'tiz were something more dreamt up on Dergati's side."
[18:49] You say, "I am quite curious to actually hear the prophecy... though."
[18:50] Miskton says, "Perhaps a religious scholar might have some more insight, but I think the parents could be considered more a combination of Dergati and all the people who came into contact with the chrysalis."
[18:50] Atazai says, "Or just food."
[18:51] Dreamheart says, "Mikston, The First referred to those people as parents multiple times. Spirit Parents. So I think it is more than a 'might' thing."
[18:51] Atazai asks, "Did it attack or just the other things?"
[18:51] Atazai asks, "Is it called the First or somefin?"
[18:51] Miskton says to Atazai, "I think what was in the chrysalis actually was, or became, Xitoccanemun. I'm not sure exactly how the rest of the Akul'tiz came about, though."
[18:52] You say, "That I know of, all of the Akul'tiz grew from the chrysalis."
[18:52] You say, "Xitoccanemun was just... the first."
[18:52] Dreamheart says, "The First one out ... the leader. Hopefully we will never see Her Second."
[18:53] Atazai asks, "How soon after the hatching did the Fist go up?"
[18:53] Dreamheart says, "It was quite a while."
[18:53] Dreamheart says, "I believe that the Wren's Nest should at least have some gauge of the events of the time recorded for you."
[18:54] Atazai says, "Them making a deal would be strange."
[18:54] Atazai says, "Shrikes and Pelags."
[18:56] Atazai says, "A time to say, you people shouldn't use Sorcery."
[18:56] Atazai asks, "How come there are never visions of heroes saving the day?"
[18:57] Miskton says, "They come up on occasion. Not as often as we might hope, though."
[18:58] Skaen says, "To return to the subject of the Children of Kalestraum..."
[18:58] Dreamheart says, "I like to think that we do not need a warning of things going well. But when it comes, it is a wonderful thing, because everyone cannot be at the one place the one Hero is saving the World."
[18:58] Skaen says, "They've always used seduction and terror as tools."
[18:58] Skaen says, "And to follow them has always ended in death for us."
[18:59] Skaen says, "Students in the past have listened to their lies and their promises, to their own detriment."
[19:00] Skaen says, "And if our visions indeed are of Karosti, dark times lay ahead."
[19:01] Atazai says, "What if he saves us from the Pelag."
[19:01] Skaen asks, "A saviour from one fell fate only to subject us to another?"
[19:01] Miskton says, "The cure may be worse than the disease."
[19:01] Skaen says, "Neither are our friend, allay, or saviour."
[19:02] Atazai says, "Forces of nature, Forces of Fate, Forces of anti-Fate."
[19:02] Skaen says, "And moon mages in the middle, striving to weather the storm."
[19:03] Atazai says, "When a hurricane hits it cleans out all the coastal and inshore waters, yet demolishes people."
[19:03] Atazai says, "The Elf says, I assume we, they won't understand."
[19:03] Atazai asks, "Is that we us?"
[19:03] Skaen says, "That is my understanding."
[19:04] Miskton says, "Likewise."
[19:04] Skaen says, "It's not a stretch, the insane are rarely understood."
[19:04] Atazai says, "That whole bit just nags me as a shake up shake down."
[19:05] Miskton asks, "Can you explain that a bit more?"
[19:05] Atazai asks, "Do the Children get different visions? See different parts of Fate?"
[19:05] Atazai says, "Oh."
[19:05] Atazai says, "Like when a government get's way corrupt and stuff, and it takes a full out horrible occurrence to wipe the slate clean."
[19:05] Skaen says, "I would imagine, granting their regular use of teleologic sorcery, it damages their connection to the plane of probability."
[19:06] Atazai says, "Shake it all up, then shake it down to the basics."
[19:06] Miskton says, "Okay, I see."
[19:06] Atazai says, "If someone thinks the way the Guild as whole has become corrupt or misused or whatever, maybe Fate puts us in our place, with a hard hand."
[19:07] Miskton says, "Well, I think as far as Pelag is concerned, we're all corrupt, period."
[19:08] Atazai says, "If The Pelag starts something, the Elf may take advantage on his own. If the Elf is Karosti and they are smoldering some nodes, maybe the Pelag takes advantage."
[19:08] Skaen says, "Pelag is interested in punishing or destroying any who would to try influence fate. The Children are interested in destroying our guild, but on different planes and for different reasons."
[19:08] Skaen says, "But both would be happy to take advantage where they can."
[19:09] Atazai says, "Allies to us don't have to be allies to each other."
[19:09] Atazai says, "I mean, what we see as allies."
[19:09] Atazai says, "It happened all the time when I worked for the Allvars."
[19:09] Atazai asks, "Why does the Elf need to answer?"
[19:09] Skaen says, "Hubris."
[19:10] Atazai asks, "Or we're missing an invitation? Or Request?"
[19:10] Skaen says, "The Children of Kalestraum are nothing if not prideful."
[19:10] Miskton says, "Answer in the sense of revenge, I'd think."
[19:10] Atazai says, "Interesting stuffs."
[19:11] Atazai asks, "Should I take a vacation and camp in Leth for a month?"
[19:12] Miskton says, "Not a bad place for camping."
[19:12] Skaen says, "Leth might be a bad vacation spot considering..."
[19:12] Atazai says, "If it's that Elf, everyone says he has a fetish for Leth."
[19:12] Skaen says, "Especially since you aren't elven."
[19:14] Atazai says, "Just to say it, my God hasn't shown me anything."
[19:14] Skaen says, "It's unlikely that it concerns our visions but Ralel was spotted in Leth Deriel, and since he is a moon mage and the Children do have a presence in Leth.."
[19:14] Skaen says, "He's never been known in the past to ally himself with them or concern himself in moon mage affairs over elven.."
[19:15] Skaen says, "He's worth keeping a third eye on, at any rate."
[19:15] Miskton says, "It's worth keeping an eye out for him, at least. He seems to be up to something shady, whatever it is."
[19:15] Atazai says, "I'm not popular with noble elves."
[19:16] Marcul asks, "Is anyone, really?"
[19:17] Atazai says, "No more Allvars in charge in Leth, but I'll rap around and see what I can, hear."
[19:17] Miskton says, "Let's see... I think that covers all the new or changed visions of late."
[19:17] Miskton asks, "Unless there's anything else people have seen, that I'm not aware of?"
[19:18] Skaen says, "I would like to stress that any future threat is probably centered around Kssarh, Cherulisa and Lomtaun so those guildhalls should be reinforced first in the event of any troubling visions."
[19:19] Atazai says, "I'll hang out on the Steppe then."
[19:19] Atazai says, "I like that Guild."
[19:20] Miskton says, "With that, then, I think we're done, unless anybody would like to discuss any other visions, or anything else."
[19:20] Dreamheart says, "Thank you so much for having these."
[19:20] Miskton says, "My pleasure, as always."
