First off, upping the max is much appreciated and helps a lot.
Now for my greedy request. Is there any chance that we might be able to use a moonbeam in the same room that we're in as a source of constant slivers without the need to do anything else but cast TkT/TkS? So the spells would first check for a moonbeam, then for slivers around you, and finally for items on the ground.

I would love this.
Although I'm wondering, is it really intended that TKT and TKS lose so much functioning without Moonblade? Yes, in regular hunting I can just drop an arrow and keep the place clear of junk (with some effort), but in invasions the junk effort is too much for me, and in PVP it would be easy to mess with me by simply dropping a few heavy items. I guess I just don't like the idea of spending a spell slot on Moonblade purely to not have to deal with junk.
Other guilds have plenty of multi-strike TM spells that require no fuss (e.g., Stone Strike and Fire Shards, both of which are 1 slot). I get that we're not as good at that sort of thing as WMs, but TKT and TKS are 2 and 3 slots, respectively, and at the moment I feel like they strongly encourage that extra Moonblade slot.
What I would really hope for is just ambient messaging about hardening shards of light around us to fling at people. Failing that, perhaps breaking a moonbeam beforehand instead of a moonblade.

TKT is two slots because it has chosen variable damage. TKS is three slots for variable chosen damage and AOE. Multi-shot by itself does not "cost" a slot.
I have considered ripping out all the item throwing mechanics and just having it throw generic "debris," but that feels like it'd rip the heart out of the spell.

I much prefer the current incarnation to that option. I really like TKS/TKT. Is there any chance that perhaps we can "mold" the slivers into different types of attack type like shape moonblade? Breaking a moonstaff could give you impact slivers or something, etc. There could be options for elemental damage as well. As I said, I do like the spell and the versatility, but in some situations, slivers really are the only option so it would be cool to have that flexibility available then as well.

>>It seems like if you're paying a slot for the variable damage, it shouldn't also have the inconvenience cost of keeping the room clean. It'd be nice if the mage could just designate an item for the spell to use.
Agreed. See: FST.

I don't like the idea of generic "debris" either, but generic light that turns into shards would be pretty cool in my opinion.
I'd do it something like this:
CAST IMPACT
Mage sweeps her hands wide and tiny droplets of moonlight coalesce into icy/fiery/inky spheres. With a flick of her wrist, she sends them flying at (target).
CAST PUNCTURE/SLICE -- replace with "tiny slivers coalesce into icy shards"
CAST <ITEM> -- designates item for use, to get the exact features desired rather than generic ones given above. I'd be fine if it had to be held in hand and would return to hand.
Note that I'm not suggesting elemental damage, it would just be hardened light of a certain color depending on moon/sun.

Why not do both? Rip out the mechanics for items and turn it into a standard TM spell.
Add a meta spell for the ability to throw real items of choice.
