Four and Five...ish.

Also, we had our first successful Moon Mage about half an hour ago.

That was fun. I might have completed it earlier, if I hadn't been second guessing myself. It just seemed like too obviously a bad idea, heh.

That was a good time! Nicely crafted quest and loved the feel and lore potential of it. I had a bit of syntax wrangling at the final step (turns out I was over-thinking it), but three cheers for this quest!

For some reason you just can't stop thinking about glarmencouplers.

That was just... really fun. And I still love this spell. Think it might be my all time favorite.

Glad to hear people enjoyed it. I was afraid it might have been a little too vague and unforgiving, even for a Moon Mage quest.

I'll also admit I liked the chance to revisit that guy and give him an actual purpose.

Possible bug (trying to also keep it rather vague)?

If you do something wrong you get an error message about the item "bursts into a cloud of frozen starlight which quickly dissipates." but it is still in your hand. Is it suppose to disappear and you start over?

My only complaint is that Gylwyn pointed me at the wrong guild leader. She gave me two names, but it was a different leader's hint that told me where I wanted to go.

Some Guildleaders are more helpful than others.

Yeah I hate this quest. Seems pretty punishing considering how outrageously terrible Elanthian weather is.

I had absolutely no problem with this quest, but I had somebody that did the quest with me basically point to point, and they died, and died, and died, and died, and died. Not really sure what could of went wrong for them. but yeah.

PG? It's even castable on you by others now.

At this point the only way I can tell for sure what happened (If this is the person I think it is) would be by reviewing a log from their POV.

I'm going to work to improve the behind the scenes logging so I can better track exactly why someone might fail during these steps, but it certainly won't be retroactive.

The item looking the same whether it's going to kill you or not was frustrating.

Having figured out what I was doing wrong by the third attempt, it would be nice if the following message only showed up when you succeed:

A faint, sterile light begins to emanate from a milky white fragment.

I'm curious what you were doing wrong - would you mind dropping me an email with the details?

What part of the quest giver makes you think they particularly care if you know if you succeeded or failed?

I might write some more lore about the quest giver at some point if the mood happens to strike me.

True Story: When we decided to make Read the Ripples stellar we had to quickly come up with a quest and the core portion of it (With the fragment) came to me almost instantly, but then I had to decide how to get that to players in the least development heavy way possible (I was didn't want to vastly delay the spell because of a complex quest). At times I considered just straight up selling it or writing a new NPC or trying to find an existing NPC I could expand on and then I remembered the current quest giver who was essentially a throw away Easter Egg I'd written years ago and, ta da, a quest was born.
