Having played a bunch of alts lately, I came to the realization that we are the only survival prime guild who doesn't have a bonus mechanic that means that we can't get the same amount of ability out of skills. While I honestly wouldn't mind too much for most skills, this has become painfully obvious with locksmithing (especially since we also don't have a buff for this so we have to go with sorcery to do it). With a full Drums up, I still pick boxes way worse than a thief or ranger can thanks to their bonus.
Is this just intended as part of the "hardcore" aspect of the Necromancer guild? It seems strange that both other survival prime guilds have an additional buff mechanic to get extra umpf out of skills but we don't.

This miiight be a way for high DO to be useful. Right now DO is pure penalty and has no practical use for a Necromancer except in one very niche case, which frankly bugs me -- it should be a potential source of strength if you're willing to take those drawbacks. If higher DO translated to a bigger bonus to your survivals or other skills, that would be kind of nice.

We're also the only survival primary who don't get a penalty mechanic to our survivals. Don't remind them.
