Yeah, I'm really bad at naming spells...
Esoteric utility. Battle spell. Reduces engagement time by up to 50% and grants up to 30 seconds of immunity to movement impairing effects, including pushback.

I appreciate your suggestions, Sylv. One of the things that discourages me from posting any glyph or protect suggestions is understanding they're not likely to be considered until those systems are rewritten, which makes tons of sense, but it also means those suggestions will likely fall off the forums before then. That's not an indictment on the GMs, of course; it takes a lot more than a couple of hours to rewrite a system the right way as we've seen with NMU supernatural abilities, pathways, predictions, communes, etc.
A spell, on the other hand... I figure anyone in team M who knows M3.0 by now can code a spell, time permitting, and a good spell suggestion might jump start one.

Alright Warbie, you want magic- lets explore us some magic! :)
Winged Smite
-A split-second flash of [soul stone colored] energy vaguely resembling otherwordly wings flashes from Sylvaeus back as he suddenly launches forwards towards the goblin! He quickly enters melee and unleashes a righteous smite!
Something about dashing forward from ranged does seem particularly appealing about this one. ;) I'm thinking it would have a short prep time, have something to do with Athletics in there somewhere, and give some kind of bonus to the strike based on mana spent.
Chariot Smite
Requires Winged Smite
-May only be cast while mounted
-May only be cast while in a group
-Ally must ACCEPT the spell for it to fire off.
-Sylvaeus' back flashes with the light of otherwordly wings and his horse rears and charges with him! Just as the mount moves forward, a ghostly, brightly glowing chariot of light gently yet quickly sweeps Warbolus forward into melee as well, placing him flanking [behind] the goblin!
Inquisitor's Touch
-May only be cast in Grapple. The paladin must place a hand upon the target.
-Deals an initially small amount of holy damage to the target.
-Deals more damage based on how corrupt the target's soul is with a pristine target or the cleric of a light aspect taking no damage at all. Clerics of dark gods, necromancers, and creatures tagged 'evil' take damage as if they were the lowest fallen paladins. Neutral creatures take very little damage but very dark targets take a substantial blast.
-Fallen paladins [a pretty low soul state requirement here I imagine] who cast this spell instead inflict a respectable Stun upon their target and prevent their target from regenerating mana for a time.
Exile:
Requires: Rebuke, Crusader's Challenge
Upon casting this spell the paladin fires off a Rebuke that strikes only half as often as a normal Rebuke does (so 3 maximum instead of 6, scaled appropriately). A moment later the same paladin also fires of a Footman's strike that also strikes half the normal amount of times. If at least one strike of both barrages hit the target takes notable spirit damage. If the Rebuke results in a prone opponent and all three footman's strike hits land then the opponent takes a nasty stun and is knocked into a randomly-selected adjacent room!

Grapple is currently broken, isn't it? Some type of roll over bug. I think you could achieve the same/similar effect simply by doing a 'point/touch' mechanic, like dragon breath. Or making it activate on weapon hit (smack with weapon, spell takes effect, the trade off being nothing happens if you can't hit it. Like bless. But different).

That would work, too. All good. I'm grappling right now, though, since you was wondering. Is there a bug casting certain spells while grappling?
When it comes to Inquisitor's Touch (alright I'm bragging here but I'm kinda proud of that name lol) in my mind I'm picturing the whole 'press your hand to their forehead and supernatural stuff happens' kind of theme. I also thought the grapple thing (along with possibly needing a free hand, maybe?) would be a nice limiter considering that (possibly) paladins could be getting a cyclic TM spell and I like the idea of the grapple creating tactical goals for people in combat/spars. Meh- just a thought. Thanks for the response!
Also, I think Warbie and I are on the same page in hoping for a spell that advances a paladin from range. I'm keeping my finger's crossed for Winged Smite. :)

>>No its not. I recently sparred noopin and I grappled him just for heck of it, I shoved him away and all of a sudden my defenses were basically shot down to zero.
I thought the rollover bug was that if you grapple something you vastly outclass, you might fail to grapple it because the success roll turns into a failure roll.
Shove does penalize all defenses, though, so no idea if that's what you saw.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.
