Okay, I've got a new horse and now I'm having problems training it. Currently I'm able to instruct my horse about combat and joust, but when I go to instruct it, I get a message saying I can't do that. Am I missing something? I've asked a couple different stablemasters about combat, joust, mount and war, but get told I know just as much as they do. Any help would be greatful.

Rangers teach horses, paladin's teach players.

Are rangers the only way to train horses? Bcause I can not find some one to train my horse even for a fair amount of coin. Any suggestions?

Depends what training you're referring to. There are several classes. Some are taught by rangers, others are taught by paladins, others are taught by warrior mages I believe.

Catching the horse to begin with, that's a ranger thing, or you can just buy one.

I would like to train it in war but no will. They say its to time consuming. I dont mind paying But that does not seem to change any thing.

Unfortunately, only rangers can train the horse in any skill, including "war". Without a ranger willing to spend the time training the horse, and it is the one class that take the longest for a ranger to complete, it can't be done.

Various guild members can train the rider in various skills, but only the rangers teach the horse itself any skill.

I thought it was warrior mages who taught magic tolerance. Interesting!

Well anyway, I'd offer to help out, but I certainly can't train horses yet. I'm down at around 40 ranks in animal lore.

Thanks I will keep looking. I don't have any choice if I want to get it trained.

War is just an obnoxious class, it really needs to be cut down in time because it's one of the only useful ones but it takes around 90 minutes of sitting around doing nothing to finish it.

It's just not worth it to give up all that experience I could be gaining in combat or training survivals to sit around and learn mech/foraging for 90 minutes. The most annoying thing is that regardless of AL ranks it still takes the same amount of time. I didn't shave off one minute from the class after adding 200 ranks of AL...just a really goofy system.
