Oddly enough I have dropped by with the help of a friend since I vowed not to return unless I got my ... wrongly misplaced ... character back. But thats another story.
When I first started playing in the realms there would be nights where only 5 people would be playing yada yada and threw the development of the game I developed my character.
Drulathen. Dwarven Paladin, served a Dark God. Rock.. where are ya buddy I miss ya. I worked hard to be Ideal in my characters own definition of the word as per his Religion.
If anyone out there Remembers Dru.. some wouldn't have called him Dark, until they saw his duties provoked. I remember having straight out long battles with groups of theives and the like, and the battles persisted because we were all roleplaying and were involved voluntarily. I'm sure much has changed since I walked the realms, and to get to the point of this post....
Maybe lets compile a list of the old pioneers of the Faiths...
Michael, Steeler, Rock, Nightcrawler, and the list goes on and on. give a little spirit back in the memories instead of the future.

Steeler , not a dark paladin or light. He followed a god and actually was more driven with justice.
Rock, RPed as a dark paladin, but more along the lines of kicking the crap out of thieves and other people, most of his objectives seem to protect the weak and innocent. The only darkness to him was that he'd actually embarass and kill the people he went after.
Michael, i dont know how you can say he was an RPer, the original michael was in a circle race with steeler. When he realized he would never win he created medikia.
Nightcrawler, not really part of any diety. He was a person put on Elanthia to piss off people. That is his story. And he did a great job at pissing off people.
Saldszar , original Paladin was a great dark paladin.
Kain , oringal paladin that was a GREAT dark paladin. He would lure unsuspecting newbies in crocs ( back when there we 5 rooms) saying they were taking them to haven. And disband in crocs and watch them die. Now you gotta remember people didnt know where haven was about 6 years ago. There are a few others. But most of the people on your list dont really qualify as RPing a dark paladin.

The people I listed if you reread my post carefully, are just some older paladins of the faiths, not necessarily Dark
The title of the post was just that, a title, for a new beginning
shrug Either way, dropping people in crocs is evil, not dark in the books I played by, and just like the old days, everyone has their own POV on that matter, which is how alot of heated topics were discussed on boards very like these, back in the Aol and Genie days, remember those? =P

And if the heated battles didn't end, we'd all settle the argument in the chat room on who won that scramble game! ::Cackles madly:: Boy I miss that game, use to play it for hours while sitting around doing lore.
