SEND That's really nice, but maybe you can start with choosing another word to refer to those you dislike so much.
I coulda chose so many words, but nothing could describe the hatred my clerik has for some clerics. That one fit in soooo well, and figured it wasn't bad since I didn't get in trouble for it the last 3 days I've used it to express my anger. Maybe add a site to the home page that lists all the words we "can" use in this game.
Look, I don't think it's a big deal. I hear way worse then that word on a daily basis. But if it's not allowed, guess I'm gonna have to come up with something like, jerks, or dorks, or nerds...yeah...that'll get the emotion across.
Now what about using that word for stabbing myself in the foot or getting a splinter? Would it be allowed in that context? Just to clarify on that word.
The new Clerik

Try just "Swear." You don't have to stun us all with the originality of the word, we can get the picture.
If you can't think of any better words, try buying a thesaurus. I'm sure there are plenty. There's some joy in insulting someone with an insult and having them not understand what you are saying because they are too stupid. (I asked someone what they were insinuating the other day, and they said nothing, because they didn't know what that meant...)
Or make up in "in character" oath or swear that can get your point across without getting the folks above mad. Really... it's not that hard not to swear in DR, folks. It's not like it "just slips out" like it does in real life. You have to physically take the time to type the 4 letters or so.
And let's not go to the "what words are ok" list because then that would put a limit on the freedoms of speech you DO have in DR.

Not to disagree with your overall point, but in comment to the following:
>>If you can't think of any better words, try buying a thesaurus.<<
A thesarus shows words with similar meaning and not typically the same meaning. For instance, if I said the word "<expletive>", someone might tell me to use the word "poo-poo" instead since it means the same, but if the words actually meant the same thing then it really shouldn't matter which word I use. But as we all know, "<expletive>" means something much more angry than "poo-poo", and being the person who values honesty as I do, I would be more honest in using the word "<expletive>" to properly and acurately express what I feel sometimes.

One would think, given that this is a text game, there would be a higher average of intellect present.
Alas, no. Complaining about not being allowed to curse is one among many. (But I love seeing them vanish mid rant when screaming at the heavens)
Being a sailor, there've been times I've almost typed out some pretty explicit verbage. It is a game with children playing as well as us fogeys, however. At least here is a place I can catch myself in time.

I have this string: (\xact spouts off a rash of blistering obscenities so quickly that you can't hope to catch them all.\r) tied to one of my macro keys, because the "curse" and "swear" verbs are so wimpy.

The bottom line here is that cursing is fun, and thats whats important. Also breaking things over peoples heads is fun. So as long as we can all argue in a way that is both fun and obscene we can all have a good time. -Sigmer

Call me crazy, but calling somebody a lumpish, sheep-biting rudesby or a haughty barnacle doesn't do much to alleviate aggression. I'll stick to supplementing things like "Blast" in the place of certain more objectionable words.

Anyone else remember Battlestar Galactica (I mean the original series) and their interesting way of getting vulgarity by the censors? What was the word Starbuck always used? Frak, wasn't it?
<red alert goes off in the middle of a poker game, and he's winning>
Starbuck says, "oh, frak ..."
Always made me snicker.

"Goblins ... aisle 6, Mycthengelde ... hunt smart, hunt S-Mart!"
"You whine like a mule ... you are still alive!"
"Call me Snake."
