Hahaha... everyone's remembering "when moon gate came out" but nobody's mentioned the coolest part of that day. When the spell was first released, it was "Moon Gate" and not "Moongate" -- so to go through one you typed GO GATE, not GO MOON like it is now. It was changed because some uber moonie stood outside the NE Gate of Crossing and opened a gate into the (new) rock guardians area, and managed to gate a few dozen unsuspecting people to their deaths before the GMs came down on him.

Ah yes, good times. Moon Mage spells always seem to result in game changes. Hehe.

For instance, Focus Moonbeam and Teleport came out at the same time Dunshade Manor opened. Chiromancy used it as a way to get out of the manor with the cursed wedding ring of Tatia Dunshade. Good times, that.

Of course, now the lovely feature/trap involving said ring doesn't exist any more. What a shame.

If I remember correctly, it was not to rock guardians. Rock guardians came out after the moongate spell was released, and then changed. But yes, that was funny.

There was also a moon mage that that used to open up rogue gates around crossing, have a bunch of high level folks protect him from the instant death, and then have the spawn run around killing folks. People screaming on the gweth about invasions.

This may be mean and rude, but dang funny.

Despite your best efforts, skinning the gargoyle just isn't going to happen this time. Maybe helping little old Halfling widows across a busy Crossing street is more your line of work?
