You get a silver-hilted craftsman's knife from inside your spidersilk backpack.
You get a soft iron keyblank from inside a sturdy lavender backpack which is in your spidersilk backpack.
>carve my keyblank with my knife
You are too injured to do any carving.
>health
Your body feels at full strength.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You have no significant injuries.

Kraelyst's injuries include...
Wounds to the LEFT ARM:
Fresh Internal: slightly tender -- insignificant
Kraelyst has normal vitality.
It is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out.

I knew that existed, but I'm glad you brought that up.
Natala appears to be kickin butt for us now (thank you GOD), so maybe that'll finally get downtweaked to make more sense.
On the other hand, I'm glad it's at least let known to us, without having to ask an empath, that we have injuries like that, which is much better than unknowingly creating flawed lockpicks until after we've wasted a few minutes and several keyblanks.
Ideally, it'd get readjusted so the injuries affecting your picking would be on a scale, not just black or white, and you'd always be made aware with some sort of messaging how injured you were, no matter how little (maybe be able to have the beggar/flower girl assess your state of health for a nominal fee). Yet, you'd always be able to carve lockpicks. One insignificant injury might be enough to only impede carving by nullifying 1-2% of your lockpick ranks. A few would add up to 7-10%. One more significant injury maybe 20%. Severe paralysis... 85%. Or something along those lines. Lotsa possibilities.
It'd be extremely cool if discipline could factor in... the more you're able to focus, the less you let your injuries stand in the way of your carving.
