I have a POC and when I am in it the only messaging I seem to get is when we arrive at a destination... it doesn't tell me when the horses are hungry and I can't interact with him at all in the caravan.. is it suppose to be this way ? I would at least think he could tell me when they are hungry.. Maybe I'm missing something.. Thanks for the help

Strange- my driver tells me when my critters are hungry, unless they get hungry while I'm in a different room, such as when I'm leading them from Crossing to Tiger Clan for instance. However, this isn't quite the same as when I'm in my caravan.

Now, this might be a nice add-on to the Look command, when you look at your caravan.

You ask your driver for a report.
Your two-mule caravan has a crate on it from Crossing to Tiger Clan, a crate from Arthe Dale to Wolf Clan, a Storage Box.

Your driver adds, "The critters are getting mighty hungry."

After further thought, perhaps the driver of a POC should knock on the door and stick his head in to report that the animals need food.

A quote from the original post for POC's from GM Arnimas on 5/13/10:

Have faith my friends and just a bit more patience. GM Adera and I hope you find this fun. Special thanks to GM Adera for repeatedly telling me this was a good idea, though it was never high on my list of things to do. This is just Stage 1...

They were only released just once at the guildfest. I'm sure when they are released again (I think there was mention of a shop being at the next all hallows eve) they will work a bit more on it :)

I'm going to post on this now, not because of the issue, but due to the next festival being mentioned.

1. We did consider having the driver mention that the caravan needed food. However, the ONLY bad thing that can currently happen to a caravan is for it to starve. We felt that if you have something special like a POC, then you needed to pay attention to it. If you're in it, it should be easy enough to just feed it every XX minutes to make sure it is fine. I'm not saying we won't change this, but it was initially intentional.

2. I'm not going to guarantee a POC shop at that festival. I would like to have one but I have other festival obligations that are taking up a large percentage of time. If GM Adera were around, I have no doubt you would have one for sure. I will do my best to get a shop of some sort for POC's but I'm not going to guarantee something I may not be able to deliver.

3. Stage 2 of POC's is in the works. I'm not going into details of it but I doubt it will be available for the fest. I am looking forward to getting it to you all though, so hang in there please.

Best Regards,
~GM Arnimas

Couldn't you at least have the same shop that was at the last festival? That way people who could not get one before can do it now.

Actually, I can't use that shop for the festival. Due to how something is setup, it would need to be adjusted for that metal spider, and it would require just as much work as making a new shop. I know that it may not sound like it from a player perspective but if it were that simple, I would do it for you all that way.

Instead, if I can find the time, we'll have a POC shop of some sort there, but I just wanted to be honest that I can't guarantee it yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.

Is there any reason that POCs have to be only sold at festivals? What's up with having all the ultimate Trader systems we've been waiting forever for only be available for a short period of time and then be unavailable for months to anyone who missed the initial release?

The traders guild has never been more alive. I miss the good old days when only one or two complained.

The world is so unfair now.

I'm pretty sure I complain enough for at least a dozen Traders

I'm not going to make any comments on how the festival is setup. I will say that I am not Madran so I can't just 'make it so' on that.

In regards to POC's being festival only, I never said that they were. In fact, there are plans on making a 24/7 shop for POC features. As fate would have it, we had a guild fest coming up shortly after the POC's cleared QC so it made sense to drop a shop for them in that festival.

It would be great if everyone would just be patient. I've said that if it is at all possible time-wise, I'll get you a shop at the festival. I've also now stated that a 24/7 shop is planned as well. We have lost a valuable GM that did tons of Trader stuff without her name being directly attached to it. I'll do the best I can in the meantime until we get someone who can attempt to fill those big shoes. No offense, but I'm not going to comment again on POC's and that festival for awhile. I'm getting tied up attempting to explain things in different ways when I could be using that time to get closer to getting a shop started. :)

Well my main point that I actually didn't make very clear, was that if you shoot for releasing a 24/7 shop instead of remaking a new Festival tent then there's no pressure that you MUST get it done by X date, plus more players actually get to benefit from it, so that would seem like win/win for everyone (for example, I was thinking you could've showed up as Madran at the festival and then later on released a 24/7 POC shop - except now we know that this wasn't really an option anyways)
