Greetings!
So excuse the poor rhyme sequence...This is something I've been hesitant to ask, because I've always had on the gasp and shake your head type of reaction to my answer. But here goes...what music do you listen to?
If anyone brings this into the game and teases me I'll claim brining OOC knowledge into my IG experience!! I love to listen to Clay Aiken, Barry Manilow, Bare Naked Ladies and Alanis Morissette when I do think of putting on a CD.
Sing out your own answers!

Wow, this is really hard for me to answer. Well, kinda. Right now, in my "real player" at work, I have, for instance, filk, rock, musicals, pop, country - checking - um, soundtracks... 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s... I also have some "new wave" music that isn't actually on the list at the moment because, erm, I forgot it at home. Oh, wait, I didn't. So also new wave and, yes, some hawaiian music.
I'm ecclectic. Helps when I'm doing all these ecclectic Traderly things, too. ;)
Do I need to be more specific? =D
Because Trading is an art, baby.

Yeah, that was sorta my thought. Um, I'm listening to a lot of showtunes this time of year and pop, but that's because, well, one of my stranger hobbies happens performing in drag shows. <cough>
However, normally I go from Mediaeval Baebes and 15th century Russian choral music through techno-dance remixes, hitting everything from Mozart through Psychic TV along the way. This also includes country/western, ska, reggae, pop, showtunes, classic rock, jazz, swing, disco ... well, about the only things I don't listen to are pure ghetto and new age/ambience. Pretty much if it has an actual melodic line of some kind I can wrap my mind around, I'll listen to it. I'm easy to entertain that way.

I find that the soothing tones of Michael W Smith, Chris Rice, and Sonic Flood are wonderful for when I'm slaying goblins with my barbarian. :snicker: I also listen to other Christian rock/rap/contemporary artists, mixed in with my classical playlist.
For times when it is needed, I have my "anger management" playlist that features artists like Limp Bizkit, Eminem, and both of the Matrix soundtracks. Oh, and the Swordfish soundtrack...excellent trance music!
I also have a lot of other various types of techno and ambient music tracks on my computer. That is what I listen to most of the time, although I find it makes playing an Empath more enjoyable to listen to the anger management playlist.
LOL...Winamp just randomly chose Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again"...so fitting for a trader..hehe

But you don't have any hair! Where are you going to put it? Don't answer that!

Eclecticism rules... Right now: Tom Waits (Nighthawks at the Diner), Bach (Well-Tempered Clavier mostly but the D Major concerto also rocks), Talking Heads, Benny Goodman (1938 Carnegie Hall concert), early Springsteen, Mozart ("Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" and keyboard concertos), Led Zeppelin, Nat King Cole, REM, and The Big Lebowski soundtrack.

Southern rock as in the Doobie brothers, willie nelson, black oak arkansas, The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. I have drifted away from pop recently, but still have my favorite artist that I never get tired of Enya, Meatloaf, Jim Croce, harry Chapin, Bruce Springstien....
Most of the time I spend in my car though I am listening to books on tape.

Music really depends on the mood I think..
General Enjoyment: Sinatra, Tony Bennett and a few mixed others. I also like Elton John, Billy Joel and Dave Matthews Band.
Relaxing: Enya or Secret Garden
While I used to listen to groups like Metallica and others, I'm now getting older and my tastes have mellowed, though I still listen to some of them at times. I can pretty much listen to most music, as long as the lyrics "make sense" and aren't chosen just because they rhyme.
