Enchanting won't be coming out until at least DR2 is out, which will be in 2Q 2004. Per Bubba on www.simuradio.com today.

GMs had know about it for a while, and Simu didn't think it was fair to write an enchantment system now only to have to rewrite it for DR2. So, if anything, there's an idea of a timeframe for us. No 'soon' garbage. 2Q 2004 thereabouts.

They won't begin working on it until 2004. It will be completed in 2006, and in QC until 2008.

Then it will be released as a joint ranger/thief/Warrior Mage system.
