Delsey rushed from the docks at the Western Harbor, her legs plumping as fast as her body would allow them and her feet slapping upon the cobblestone path. She rushed up the hill past the banana tree and nearly collided with the fence, which someone has decided to leave closed at this early hour in the afternoon. Cursing at her bruised shin, she continued onward towards Mist Harbor proper. Some tourists were loitering in the street outside of Daisy's Dinners and, hop and dodge though she might, she simply couldn't get around them. Sighing gustily, she charged down Gardenia Lane, turned right onto Oleander Crossing and then immediately turned right again onto the avenue. She passed Hale Hall, which was oddly quiet at this time of day, and was just about to reach the open petition when she saw Almenduin.
"Wait!" she cried to Almenduin, who turned to her with a passive gaze.
She knew that look and began to slow her pace, her heart pounding and her breath coming in short gulps.
"Come... On... Almenduin... Don't roll it up," she managed to gasp out.
"Delsey, you have had five days in which to sign a petition. The time is now and you no longer will have an opportunity. The third hour of today marked the last hour that this would be out," he replied in his infuriatingly firm manner.
"But Almenduin!" Delsey whined. Her whine had broken a few hearts, but she knew even as she did it that Alemnduin wouldn't cave to it. There was a reason that Ilsola had picked him to handle Security on the Island.
"Alright, alright," Delsey said with a wave. "I shouldn’t have been such a slacker."
Almenduin smirked, and then began to walk down Oleander towards Hale Hall.
"Wait!" Delsey cried again, but Almenduin did not stop.
"You can find out the results, like everyone else, on the Day of the Huntress at the 9th hour," he told her as he disappeared down the road.
Grumbling, Delsey kicked a pebble across the road and headed back to the Silken Mist and her duties as the Commissioner of Gaming.

If you are like Delsy, and didn't cast your vote, then you are out of luck! All petitions have been pulled and the results will be announced on Friday night!

Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
