This is probably a long shot but is there any way for 1625 to treat a non-magical metal/non-enchanted weapon as 'magical'? My logic is that it's under the affects of a spiritual spell and can even hold infused spells. This seems fairly magical to me, even if it's in a spiritual sense.

I infer this request is for it to work with regular claidhmores to be able to attack creatures that require magical metals?
Anyway, that's fine by me personally, but keep in mind mithril claidhmores won't run you more than ... 1.5m these days?
As long as it's gonna return to you, it's a solid investment. Faenor is only slightly more.

Basically, yes. I have an imflass claidhmore now but I'll be honest; I think most of the magical metals are incredibly goofy sounding. I'd honestly take the hit to AS to swing something more grounded in reality. As much as I enjoy fantasy, the metals in the game are kind of absurd (although I enjoy veil iron, glaes and a couple of others).

I can understand where you're coming from, although I personally don't have any issues with a lot of the materials in Elanthia (besides how many there are and overall lack of mechanical differences).
Here's another idea you may consider. My paladin is using a perfect steel weapon. I couldn't see the point in paying extra for the weapon when enchanting it (it's 8x now) made it functionally the same. While you cannot change a material property, there's generally no alteration rule that you have to tell someone what it is in the short description. The short description is now "a perfect ebony-hafted flail."
Getting a material you like into a non-functional part is usually pretty easy.
The deathbot will come back eventually.

I'm still hoping maybe with Religion Lore or Blessing Lore (or maybe combo of both) to be able to unlock a 2nd bonded weapon since I still don't believe it'd break anything and it would give us other options based on situation since there are places where our plasma flares aren't exactly the best thing to be using.
