I was messing around with a new character and wanted to have him use a naginata, plain one from the weaponry. A friend bought it for me but when he tried to hand it to me, I couldn't hold it. I got the message like it was enchanted, but it was just an off the shelf naginata. With the bonus shifted to AvD and no actual enchant shouldn't a level 1 character be able to use a naginata?
