>are gnomes in general smaller than halflings?<

GM Ozias has posted on this previously in a couple different folders though likely have rolled off the boards by now since was some while back.

However, the short answer (short answer -- get it? nevermind, it's early... <chuckle>) is that generally Burgal Gnomes and Halflings are approximately the same height, and that Forest Gnomes are slightly taller than those other two.

So yup, theoretically it's possible for a short halfling to be shorter than your gnome.

So they're roughly the same size...but...what size are they?

HOW SMALL are these little guys? Two foot? Three foot? Four feet seems awful big for a gnome or halfling.

Three feet to possibly four feet from the new thing that came out on creature heights.

The guardians and sentries in Thurfel's Keep are both halfling-based. And guardians stand 3 feet tall and sentries 4 feet tall.
