Hello everyone, I seem to have trouble staying connected while resting in a no scroll room or just being in a no scroll room for too long. I don't get the idle message, and I get disconnected after only a couple of minutes of inactivity on screen. I tend to rest in TSC now because of all the scroll and that allows me to stay connected while I'm resting and AFK. This happens in Stormfont and just tried it on the webclient and it happens on that as well, I'm guessing its an issue with maybe my firewall or connection? Some guidance would be appreciated, has anyone had to deal with this situation before? This has been going on since I started playing a month ago, but I believe this is the first time that I have played on the laptop I own now.

Try using CTRL+R to go into rest mode. Other people's scroll shouldn't affect whether or not you stay in game, but whether or not you are doing anything (even if it's just LOOKing) will.

I think I haven't played gsiv on this laptop before, but I already know about CTRL+R to set to idle mode. It seems that if there is scrolling not happening on the screen, then I get disconnected after a few seconds, which is why I need to rest at TSC. While resting at TSC with the idle mode on, as long as there is something happening on the screen I can leave the keyboard and it doesn't get disconnected on me. No one else has had this problem?

Rest mode doesn't work for me. I have had to tweak my laptop settings to stop it going to sleep before the inactivity timer boots me, but I don't have a problem with the connection getting closed. I'd suggest trying some scripted loop to generate a bit of scroll frequently enough while you are sitting at a table. Snore every 20 seconds or whatever.
