Just finished up the first Prime run, and while the castle was definitely challenging, it was not impossible. There was only one spot where we got stuck on a verb, and it was something that we probably ought to have thought of much sooner. Made it to tier 3 and got some nifty prizes and generally had a lot of fun. I felt like we had things pretty well figured out toward the end and that with another 30 minutes or so, we might have made it through -- but who knows what else was to come. Our team's success, such as it was, was hugely dependent on good communication. Major kudos to Vanah and the GM team behind it for putting together a fabulous quest!

I just wanted to chime in on this too.
From reading all the negative posts recently regarding prize changes, refunds, verb traps, etc. I was going into tonight with a sour taste in my mouth. What I found was something that was entirely different.
I had a great time tonight running this quest. I thought it was designed excellent, there was a good balance of verb usage, searching, inspecting, and fantastic use of placed items and correlating room functions between rooms to solve puzzles. I think the time frame of 3 hours was a pretty good choice, it may be a tad on the short side, given we had no idea how much was really left to do, but in the final 5 minutes we had figured out probably three times what we did in the first 2 and a half hours so it was disappointing to run out of time. Nonetheless, I think the 3 hours is a wonderful challenge to those who can figure things out quicker than we did.
I wouldn't change a thing honestly. I took a long break between the quest and writing this, and instead of drinking beers or going out, lol, all I could think about is what I should have done differently in this damn quest! I think that is a success in itself right there.
Anyways, props to everyone who helped create this thing, and for everyone of those people who are griping about something, there is one of us who will thoroughly enjoy the work you put in to make this happen. Thanks.

Let me just give you all a "you're welcome" from the two plat runs who paid to beta test this and get the frustrating verb problems fixed before the prime runs started. Glad we could be of service and great to see now that things are fixed prime got a dozen more runs scheduled and plat has none.

Thank you so much plat! On the surface all your complaining about getting events first might seem self serving but in the end the selfless martyrs of plat beta test our prime runs. Its truly appreciated!

Hi! Chris here....and while I play Plat I don't speak for ALL of Plat. See this is an important thing to note since no one player speaks for the whole community, even though they or others think they do.
If you honestly believe in your heart of hearts that the Plat runs didn't encourage certain changes that made the quest as a whole run smoother then you are fairly delusional.
While Keith spoke tongue in cheek seeking seeking an atta boy, he wasn't wrong. So no, we aren't martyrs. We are just a community of players, like yourself, who love GS and are happy to run beta testing, even when we have to PAY EXTRA FOR IT, so that things like quests can run smoother for EVERYONE.
