I wanted to echo the previous posters and say thank you for a wonderful event. Your player base put over $100,000 into the game in a single day. All of the GMs should view this as a huge success and a massive vote of confidence in the future of GS.
Even though what is mostly posted here is bickering and wishing and whining, noone can argue that the world of Gemstone is a very valuable and rewarding place to spend our free time. Thank you!

That silver-to-cash conversion would only work if we were buying the silvers from Simutronics.
We aren't; they have a limitless supply that just magically makes them "poof" into existence when a creature is searched.
Every bit of cash value for those silvers had previously been paid to Simu already, in the form of connection fees for the people who created them (i.e. "found them as loot").

Just wanted to echo the praise others have had for the GMs who created the items and entertained us all as auctioneers throughout that marathon event. I won a bid early on for a sketchbook (something I'd dreamed of having since the GS3 days before they were even a gleam in a designer's eye), but I stayed for the entire auction anyway just to see all the items going out. Thank you for this most special of special events.
Durakar and the TownCrier team deserve huge thanks too. If there was anything I missed in the other tent while watching one item up for bid, TC was there to tell me what was happening. If I wanted to look up what something did, there it was on Durakar's spreadsheet. Very cool of them to go through that much extra work to keep the rest of us informed. Thanks for that!

Wanted to add my praise and thank you but will keep it short and sweet as everyone has already covered what I would have said, so ... bravo!

Seconded. The highlight for me was seeing over 600 players in game at one point.

I think this event went extremely well. I have to thank everyone involved in the making, approval, and distribution of all the items. The range of prices was not as high as I thought it would be and that was a good thing. While I see here that some think they will never have that much silver, I really do think that many of the auction wins were attainable by most of the player base. May those that didn't this time one day see that to be true the next time an grand auction comes up.
I will enjoy my win by seeing it put to good use. May everyone do the same.

I agree entirely. I think the auction was a great success. So many awesome and creative items are now in the hands of players who get to have fun with them

Well, I was shut out. :( 15 million silvers seemed like a lot. I had to go to work. Otherwise I might have gotten something neat. Had to settle for a T4 upgrade to my staff. I'm not mad about it.
I would have loved to have gotten the universal translator. Foiled by the hall of mages again
Let's do it again next year!
