HC becomes LC? on 06/08/2007 09:42 PM CDT

Both pair of my HC gloves that have taught me HC for years suddenly a few days ago, they started teaching and appraising as LC!

My LC and HC are both 54.

So two questions.

When does heavy become light and can it go back or what is up just in general with this?

Where can I find some HC gloves that will actually be HC?

Thanks,

- Illcram

P.S. I'm an Empath so don't use fancy hunter talk on me! ;)

Those gloves are neutral chain and will teach whichever one has more complete ranks. If ranks are equal, it will default to LC.

Thanks Navak.

Are there gloves that are not neutral?

I believe there is a forge in Haven which sells non neutral stuff.

Also, can't forged be neutral if they're forged at 50 stone?

Here are the armor weight break points:

chain vambraces LC <100>HC
mail gloves LC<45>HC
chain greaves LC<30>HC
chain helm LC<100>HC
chain body LC<400>HC
plate greaves LP<100>HP
plate gauntlets LP<50>HP

Unfortunately, Gidske's Armor list shows 4 sets of chain gloves, ALL of which are 45 stone or neutral. So the only "true" HC gloves will have to be forged mail gloves.

Unless you're strictly looking for forged equipment, you can always go through Riverhaven. The metal armor shop there has both LC and HC versions for all armor accessories.

Ahh.. so Gidske's weapon compendium doesn't include the new stuff in the Ironworks? Good to know. I'll have to go get some and weigh em to check.

That's why I'm currently the Keeper of the Lists. Haven't done most of P5 yet. Soon I guess.

This one goes to Ahnoui, for Redarch's wares.

Ohh.. if that came across as a gripe that the Compendium wasn't "up to date", that wasn't my intent. In fact, I'd be more than happy to go get the Ironworks merchandise stats and such and send it to you to help with the updating.
