Why can't we flee while invisible. I mean I know it sounds dumb but here's what happened to me tonight...

I'm fighting a critter and I get swarmed and start bleeding internally. I'm about to die and try to flee. In the process I get stunned. So as a last ditch I go invisible. I try to retreat but can't back away. So I try to flee and I get the message

You're invisible. What's the point.

The point is to stay alive. I tried to retreat several more times and got noticed (even though I was invisible) and pounded on resulting in me dieing. It was either stand there invisible and bleed to death or keep trying to retreat with no success until I was seen or faded back into visibility.

So I vote being able to flee while invisible. Should make it a heck of lot easier if they can't see you running

Makes sense to me. Seems like it wasn't well thought out.

Yeah, because dying in combat is just uncalled for.

No fleeing while invisible due to mechanics issues.

Bummer.

What about retreating then? I mean if they can't see you, couldn't you just tip toe out of the room?

Sometimes I'll be fighting just one critter and something will come up and I need to leave the game. Instead of quiting right there in the middle of combat I like to get away to a nice safe spot. However sometimes I try and try to retreat and I can't get away from the critter. I hide and still can't retreat. I go inviso and can't get away. I hide while inviso and still can't retreat. Of course I guess that's what flee is for now

It happens more often with more than one critter, which I guess I could see because the room could be crowded and it would be hard to move around without bumping into a critter. But with just one critter in an open field?

Why do you have to use inviso with only one creature engaged?

Just retreat before the other engages you and find that safe spot. Plenty of other people do it just fine.

You are Apis, a legendary Cleric in your own head.
You are Ragesong. What sort of Kaldar is a Bard, anyways, doofus?
You are also Pellazan (WM), Essatariol (Ranger) and running out of sig space.

I'm curious why you're unable to retreat in the first place. Are you hunting with some colossal burden or hinderance?
