I play the fallen, and had been wondering why i was getting killed in goblins....

I have to stance down evasion to learn shield. Not sure how he got this hit anyway, but:

* Moving weakly, a short forager goblin chops a broadsword at you. Dinging your target shield on its broadsword, you block with a target shield. The broadsword lands a good strike to your chest.
[You're bruised, tired, solidly balanced with opponent in superior position.]

Your target shield just broke!

Goblins never used to have broadswords before, so you wouldn't have seen it before. That does seem a bit rough for a low level creature.

The new gobs are a bit tougher because of the advanced weaponry and armor. It can also be a death sentence to train parry because of the shaman. All in all, I think the area could have went without the shaman.

Louts make the perfect bridge-critter, though.
