just wanted to say i'm not liking how long stuns last when a critter stuns me. last night I was hunting apes doing fine, with about 99 vit staying pretty steady. Then randomly I got a light stun, and I was chain stunned for about 5-7 minutes straight. and it was all light stuns. I seem to recall stuns not lasting half as long before.

I think this goes beyond just creatures -- The frequency of stuns once you get a bit lower in vitality is a bit ridiculous, and there's no recovery time inbetween stuns. (which also applies to status effects in general)

It's not the frequency that's an issue IMO - it's the fact that hitting a damage body (particularly a bleeding area) has such a high rate of stun. Pretty much anytime something taps Gort on the back(slight bleeder), it leads to a stun. End up seeing these 15-30 times per day. If you know someone is bleeding, you can exploit the hell out of this by using something that hits multiple body parts. The game doesn't seem to care how much damage it does, just if it touches. Not sure how difficult aiming at a specific body part is anymore, but there's lots of room there too IMO.

The amount of damage necessary to cause a stun needs to be tweaked IMO; I can understand that something causing some physical damage to an area should have a good chance for stun, but this light hit = stun crap is pretty ridiculous. Getting hit in the same spot and stunned 8 times while taking a fractional amount of damage(not enough to move up to a higher wound level) is absurd.
Also, it makes Stamina as stun prevention worthless.

You're leaving out the "to an already notably wounded area" part.
A light hit by itself doesn't cause a stun. Any hit, including light hits, to an area already badly damaged causes a stun.
The teeth lands a solid (5/23) hit that pokes the teeth into Turul's rear end (more embarrassing than painful!).

I've had a light hit cause a stun on cuts and bruises, which leads to another light hit that causes another stun, and then another stun. If it wasn't for Wail or Strike, I'd die even more. Couple that with the fact that if you have cuts and bruises and heal them with herbs and get hit there again you will go right back to cuts and bruises means you're screwed if you get tapped there. In all the times I've died, not once have I had a hit harder than "good" actually kill me. It's a bunch of light/goods through stuns until a critical body part explodes. I'd like one shots back over chain stuns and getting to watch my character slowly whittle down to nothing.

IIRC, chain stuns are supposed to be modified so you can't get light stunned over and over. Being stunned as a result of a light/good strike on an already wounded body part might become less of an issue then.

Supposed to have already been, or supposed to be soon? Chain stuns are responsible for all three of my deaths on those Riot runs. The hits weren't even THAT bad by themselves. I just couldn't get away before I was hacked to bits.

I think developing a temporary resistance to stuns as you were stunned over a short period of time was supposed to be some 3.0 thing. I assume that since people are being chain stunned it never happened, either by design or just not implemented yet.
