Hi all, its been awhile since I've been around, like a over a few years, but I was wondering what other ways I can train scholarship other than listening to someone. I've heard you can read books in a library, I wrote a script read all the ones in the library on ratha, but it didn't seem to really move it much. I've also read about some charts or some such you can buy and study, any info on them would help. Thanks in advance, Fin

Ask an Empath to buy you some of the charts and a compendium to put them in so you're not carrying around so many items. Studying each one you learn firstaid, scholarship, animal lore (I think not sure about this one), for empaths they learn empathy. There are quite a few charts but depending on your scholarship some might be too low or too high to study. Also embroidery patterns when studied teach a bit of scholarship but if your too high in scholarship it's not much use.

No animal lore from the charts. Everything else is correct.
Also, from Reexa's post when they were announced in Prime:
"The experience you receive for First Aid (and Empathy) will be lower than the experience you receive in Scholarship until you hit the "sweet spot" of a chart. No, we will not post where that sweet spot lies, though the experience received will fall off after you hit the sweet spot (not immediately, but the sweet spot is the start of the decline of experience)."
Price is a good indication of relative difficulty.

System Announcement: In order to simplify our mythology for newer players, all gods have been renamed after the Little Rascals. Henceforth, Urrem'tier will be known as "Spanky."

>>Thanks for the information. I guess I should have posted what my scholarship is 21...Its a bit neglected to say the least. Before I go off and bother some people to buy some for me, is there a minimum rank you need to be to start learning from charts? Thanks again
I've heard that you want at least about 40. Frankly, at anything sub-50 I would just use a library. Read several books and be sure to linger on each page for several seconds. At 21 ranks it shouldn't take long at all to ML and move on.

The Silver Leucro chart will work just fine for someone with 21 ranks of scholarship if they're wanting to learn scholarship. You learn a bit of first aid on the initial read which is the one that messages that you begin to study. Scholarship is learned on that and each read that isn't a complete failure. You can set the chart aside for a short while and get back to an initial read. Complete failure also "re-sets" it.
At 21 ranks I wouldn't worry about getting a compendium or additional charts. By 50 I would add a race chart. You own race is slightly easier than another race even though the cost is the same.

The minimum rank for anatomy charts is rank 0. Don't expect to get more one or two STUDY's in, though, before the contest goes too high for you to ever succeed at. By 30ish, you should be able to avoid the impossible to study messaging that indicates you aren't gaining experience but you will not be able to successfully study it all the way through before the timer resets.
