Goal 1
Movement, If you can't move, any other goal is futile.
(str/Disc)
Goal 2
Survival, If you don't survive, Any other goal is improbable.
(Chr/Ref/Stam)
Goal 3
Learning, This is the goal of the game, getting here requires the other two.
(Int/Disc/wis)
If there were no cost or sacrifice involved, there wouldn't be any benefits worth learning, and the entire system would be pointless. --GM Wythor

should of been STR AGI in 1, Disc/chr/ref/stam in 2, and
int/wis in 3.
He is correct. If a tunic and a single copper coin have you crushed beyond reason, you're not going to move very far.
If you fall down every time you swing your weapon, you're not going to survive very long.
If you don't learn anything from the first two, you aren't going to level very well.

Bear in mind this is the same guy that was explaining how reflex helps TM hit your enemies and charisma should be the most important stat for light armor users....
I'm forced to conclude he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about, and should probably do some research before posting anymore.

Sure they are. The words are similar in meaning in the English language.
However, in DR they are only similar as in they are both awesome and must have attributes.

>>>Charisma is nessecary... less chance of death poison, for people who don't want to wear armor that actually have a chance of walking away combat in.
I think he's trying to say that you want charisma for leather because you're going to die more often. Personally with my Barb I die far less often in leather but charisma means jack as far as death is concerned if you depart as soon as you hit the ground. If you know you're going to get Clerical help then it doesn't matter that much either because a Cleric can Soul Bond to prevent auto-depart.
All that being said there are still reasons you don't want to ignore Charisma, just none of the reasons that Shunuri mentioned.
