I'd go with Denz's advice.
<<As far as sand sprites go though ... they will definately increase ur multi and if the swarm concearns you know that they hit like sissy girls so u can shrug off most of it. If u need to bring multi up id suggest eels bone wolves and blood wolves as well.>>
If you're hunting sand sprites and get overwhelmed by multiple opponents, consider fighting back using your tools at your disposal. Berserk (since you are usually in water there) blood and stone would work well in there, along with some early roars you may or may not have learned (use warpaint if you have that to help you here).
Initiate the berserk while in combat and utilize your roar at melee range. With berserk blood and berserk stone working, you should be doing pretty well against the sand sprites if you are using a melee/pole-ranged weapon.
Try to initilize berserk blood while in combat against the sand sprites. It'll be the fuel that continues your hunt, as you are gaining inner fire from each killing blow with a weapon that will teach you (mainly, you're gonna be noticing the melee offensive skill boost in affect, but since you are probably a younger character, the strength boost will help you out as well with reduction in roundtimes). Than initilize berserk stone while in combat against the sand sprites. It'll help you out defensively by allowing you to sustain damage from being overwhelmed at times from the hunt against sand sprites.
You won't notice when berserk blood ends (as you only get messaging when all berserks consumed within you end in finality), so just berserk blood when you are noticing your not hitting them on par with what you had noticed while berserk blood was in affect. Keep those two berserks up and make sure you are maintaining a decent amount of inner fire with you so that you don't collapse while in combat due to lack of inner fire while the berserks end.
Try to rotate weapons when your weapons do reach around perplexed or bewildering and at the same time make sure you are training your defensive skills and armors heavily.
