So, my legs are tended stumps. The bandages come unraveled and I didn't fall down screaming like I usually do. Does this have to do with pain resistance, circle, empathy, stamina, is it a bug, or am I just out of my mind and we never fall down when severe leg wounds come unraveled. I suspect the latter is true.

I believe I've seen that happen as well, but it was a long time ago.

It made me blink till my friend pointed out they were missing a leg.

When leg wounds come unwraveled you do fall down...in fact just, like, two days ago I saw someone fall down from their's popping open and then a caravan ran them over. It was hilarious.

They weren't an empath though...does that maybe matter?

I thought it was changed to be stamina-based.

That would be an odd change. If anything you shouldn't be walking with two missing legs, and barely moving with one missing...

Nor would you be walking much with a shattered/broken anything.

But this is DR, where normal pain thresholds don't apply.

Right. My point, however, was that making a stamina check for falling down would make the system less realistic. I can excuse the fact that the health system was never fully fleshed out (for instance, you drop something with a broken hand, but you can pick it right back up). However, it wouldn't make sense to explicitly allow this via a skill check.

I still remember the classic day that lethal scar deaths was rolled in.

I fell down dead on the spot because I had been walking around without a head for a few days prior.

I think if you're missing a leg you shouldn't be able to walk. I for one would like to see, ::Sindea pulls herself east:: or maybe ::Sindea crawls east leaving a wide trail of blood behind her:: Or even ::Sindea pushes herself out on a little wheeled cart made for those who have no legs::

That would be funny. For about two days. Fine for Empaths, but it would be bad if I was hunting with one leg and couldn't drag myself out when I was good and done. Not to mention it's hard to defend yourself on the ground.

Now... if I could get one of those little carts and pimp it out? No legs would totally be worth it. I can see it now. Instead of flying brooms and talking parrots, everyone will be wasting thousands of platinums on buying a pimped-out skateboard with mangonels and magic cannons that they can drag into goblins.

And, of course, they would more or less have limited functions (ie: useless). Fun, but useless... just like horses. (I'm gonna get it for that one.)

Since I didnt exactly see an answer for this, thought I'd chime in.

If you have stumps for legs, and they come unravelled, you do not fall over. At least, in all my experiences, you dont. Anyless less than useless stumps, however, and you're rolling around in pain.
