Sliver/moonblade interaction came up in another thread, and gave me an idea to sort that out. I think it's fairly universal that the only reason most people take moonblade is for slivers. So rather then have a spell who's secondary function is the sole reason most people take it, remove the sliver function and have another spell where that is the primary purpose. This would also free up some functionality points in moonblade to make it a more valuable spell on it's own once it's revisited.
I'm thinking a 1 slot basic meta spell that requires FM (and maybe TKT), and will automatically draw slivers from any moonbeams you have focused in the room whenever you cast TKT/TKS.

I still don't think we should have to pay an extra slot to use TKT/TKS without fuss.
That said, if we do have to pay, I'd rather at least get a free weapon out of it.

I'd rather my moonbeam not be in the same room as me, unless I plan to use mindshout a lot. I don't.

Heh, would be even cooler and make it more valuable if it didn't have to be:
In moonbeam room:
A red moonbeam flashes brightly and you gaze in wonder as several red slivers emerge and fly off into the distance
In your room:
Several red slivers come soaring in and gently settle into orbit around your head.
Could pull from whatever moon you're aligned to, in the event you have multiple beams out, not that it really matters.

How about a cyclic debilitation/warding spell that creates slivers orbiting you. While the cyclic is running, the slivers will protect you by exploding in flashes of light in front of attackers.
The shards would also be usable for TKT/TKS, but that would remove the debilitation/protection aspect until more slivers can form.
