[Luxthor] "Does anyone out there have a Huntsleg they wanna get rid of? I'm willing to buy."
[Adagia] "a huntsleg? are you sure you don't want a henway?"
[Luxthor] "Whats a Henway?"
[Adagia] "about four stones"
[Luxthor] "same as a hunt? HT, PIKE?"
[Adagia] "it's a fowl weapon"
[Fillia] "Ba...gawk! Oh wait, were you not making a joke?"
[Trislan] "haha"
[Luxthor] "I have no clue what yer talking about. Fowl weapon?"
[Navak] "This is sad."
[Trislan] "hahaha i dont think he gets it man im cracking up here"
[Adagia] "um...forget it Luxthor...geez"
[Navak] "I think I'm going to cry now."
[Rallyne] "some forget that english isnt their first language"
[Fillia] "I thought it was funny!"
[Trislan] "me too"
[Navak] "You're right, I learned toggish first."
[Navak] "Not that it much applies to one's thoughts so I don't see your point."
[Rallyne] "my point being, its funny in english, but not in a foreign language"
[Navak] "and I fail again."
[Rallyne] "yup....that would be your problem then"
[Navak] "I have to lose more subtlety I guess. Not sure how it's going to happen this time."
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Matrina..."
[Matrina] "<faintly>" "What."
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Where are you?"
[Matrina] "<faintly>" "Swimming, whatcha want."
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Have something for you."
[Matrina] "<faintly>" "I'm scared."
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Oh come on. I'm always nice, why are you scared?"
Danke."
[Matrina] "<faintly>" "No one really wants me unless they wanna harrass or kill me."
[Rallyne] "hahahahahaha Lux, thats a good one! cackles"
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Well I can't find any single ones, they go invisible"
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Married ones have a false sense of security"
[Matrina] "<faintly>" "It's not false, if he leaves, I kill him. Pretty simple issue."
[Navak] "<faintly>" "no, I mean they think if they're married I don't see them."
[Matrina] "<faintly>" "Ok, I'm at the snowdrift."
[Adagia] "um, Luxthor, you want to kill me?"
[Luxthor] "Oh, no more smart ass comments? Well once you translate what i said in German fool, you'll see that you're not the only one with jokes. Funny thing is, i can at least read the idiocy you send to me. Can you do the same?"
[Luxthor] "Ahh. He has help. Yahoo will do that for ya won't it?"
[Luxthor] "I'm impressed."
[Adagia] "well geez, I'm not sure why you're angry, but if it'll make you feel better..."
[Adagia] "I'm in croc"
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Yup, Adagia is quite the Villain, kill her before she spreads."
[Luxthor] "forget it. Ya coulda just said no lux. no clue. Or not answer at all."
[Adagia] "how about...Lux, stop speaking gibberish?"
[Navak] "<faintly>" "Nonomis, take how many cow bits Matrina has...and add 2."
[Adagia] "I'm not evil, I just eat the dead..."
[Luxthor] "Now it's time to ignore you. You're wasting my time. I believe we're all that much more stupid for hearing you talk."
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Not sure if he became more stupid but he and that other one who brought up "english" first, sure had no sense of staying in character.

Simple...save your money, buy a gwethsmasher, and smash em.

Another solution...slaughter all the moonies that make gweths.

The best solution...don't have a gweth. I've been happily free of gweths for 6 months, and the RP is better, and I don't have to listen to idiots blabber OOC crap all over a game that I use to forget about my crappy real life.

Simple solutions...

I've heard 2 people say this now. I've also heard a plethora of people say that you can't buy gweth smashers except at rare auctions/premie events, etc. Which is it? And if you can buy them, how much do they cost and where do I get one?

It's not really worth it overall. Just REPORT <idiot> is saying X thing at Y location.

Then let the situation go.

You shouldnt need a gweth smasher to stop complete and obvious OOC. A gwethsmasher was more to shut up stupid people (never go to crossing with it, you cant smash that many gweths).

The sad thing is its a daily occurance with many of these people and if they just got one timeout, caution or some kind of warning for it they probably would stop it completely. But because nothing is ever said specifically to them only ever a general "take this off the gweth" or "everyone stop being OOC".

Have a GM spend a few hours just one or two random days a month monitoring the gweths and once they have had some repercussions for it, they might just shut the hell up.

This will work, if it were done more frequently. Good suggestion.

Quarel tends to monitor the gweths.

The only problem is that anytime he says something, then everyone talks to HIM.

Gah, there's no winning.

Quarel is pretty good with that. You should be able to let GM interaction slide on the gweths every now and then. Not everything has to be IC to the finest detail, folks.

>>I don't wear one, I fail to see why anyone would.

Because when I'm feeling nice enough to help deaders, it's nice that the people at the healing spot can let me know if they need a cleric to run by and protect memories.

The gweth system's a lot more tolerable outside of Crossing, you know.

Ah, yes, excellent point. That is a good reason to wear one.
